HAPPY READING!

With schools now reopening offline it will be a mammoth task for students like me who are into sports and other co-curricular activities. As earlier we got a lot of time to focus on both academics and co-curricular activities and could even practice more of our sport or co-curricular activity. It is very important for us as students to both study and play in order to develop mentally and physically. Students should also understand the importance of giving equal importance to every thing they do in their lives. And they should also learn the importance of balancing their activities like one should not dedicate themselves totally into academics or totally into sports, one should always try to balance the two because none of us know what's lying ahead in the future. It is always advisable to have a 'PLAN A' and 'PLAN B' but there are no worries if you don't have plans about what you are going to do in your future even I don't have a plan but I still have firm belief in my work because I know that in some point of my life I will have a plan to what I will do in my life. And I know that whatever the plan is I will be successful in it. So let's drive into 4 ways in which you can balance your academics and co-curricular activities.

  • GIVE EQUAL TIME AND IMPORTANCE TO EACH FIELD OF WORK:
It is very important for students to realize that they should give equal importance to both academics and co-curricular activities the main reason as to why I am saying this is because I myself have been in a state where I could not do well in academics because I put in way too much effort and time in the sport which I played without realizing the need and importance of studying. I dedicated myself way too much into my sport and once I did badly in my academics I lost my self-confidence both in playing the sport and studying. By this incident I learnt that dedication and the will to work hard in a certain field of work to some extent is a very positive thing to posses but if we try to cross the line and get ourselves dedicated madly and concentrate our life only to one thing we will neither be able to learn new things nor will we be able to achieve success in that field. That is why it is always said to balance both studies and sports because at the end of the day we really don't know as to which profession we would be lying in after 10-15 years from now on. And if we concentrate only on a particular field of work we might start getting bored of doing the same thing again and again because life does need some different taste and diversity. While academics provide knowledge, a sport teaches the invaluable traits of teamwork, leadership, persistence, hard work, respect towards others, stress management, continuous enhancement of one's skills, and most importantly – acceptance of success and failure in an unfazed manner. Thus it is very important to give equal importance in your fields of work.

BALANCING SPORTS AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES HELPS A PERSON TO FIND NEW STRENGHTS AND POSITIVES IN THEIR FIELD OF WORK.

  • PLAN OUT YOUR ENTIRE DAY:
Another important way in which you can balance your academics and sports is by planning out your entire day. By 'planning out your day' I mean to say that you should try to divide your day into different time slots and try and complete the work in the given time slot within the scheduled time limit. Dividing your day into different time slots would surely help you in focusing more on your work and at the same time it would help you to enhance your multi-tasking skills. Remaining focused about what you are going to do throughout the day is a huge positive as you don't enter the new day unplanned. At the same time planning your day helps you do your work without stress and also may sometimes empower your creative insights. It also helps you to stay organized and fresh all throughout the day.

PLANNING OUT YOUR ENTIRE DAY HELPS YOU TO REMAIN FOCUSED THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY IN WHICHEVER WORK YOU UNDERTAKE.

  • MAKE FULL USE OF THE WEEKEND:
The weekend is the best way when you can complete a lot of your tasks and start preparing for the next week in advance. You can finish your home works  , pending assignments or take down notes which you missed taking down previously. Using the weekend fruitfully is highly important as you can save up to 4-5 hours of school time, and can utilize it for training for another extra 1 or 2 hours in your co-curricular activity or the sport which you are playing. The weekend also gives you plenty of time to take some time off for yourself and can also spend quality time with your friends and family. Socializing with friends is also very important for students who are studying as well as playing some sport because socializing with friends allows them to spend quality time with their friends and at the same time also allows them to reduce their stress or tiredness of doing two things simultaneously. You can also develop new skills and hobbies eg. cooking, gardening, cycling etc, over the weekend if you don't prefer socializing with friends.

MAKING GOOD AND FRUITFUL USE OF THE WEEKEND MAKES YOU FEEL POSITIVE AND EVOKES IN YOU A SENSE OF SATISFACTION AND HAPPINESS.

  • PREFER EARLY MORNINGS OVER LATE NIGHTS:
Waking up early in the morning helps you to stay energetic throughout the day. Early mornings should be preferred over late nights especially for students who are studying as well as playing certain sports because you have to realize that you have to work more harder than other people as you have to move on with two things side by side. Trust me if you wake up to go for a morning run or a morning walk it does wonders to your mind and body. Studying in the morning is way better than studying at night as students tend to remember things which they study in the morning much better than what they study at night. Practicing some breathing exercises and meditation for 5-10 minutes will also work wonders for you as it tends to reduce your overall stress and anxiety and makes you feel more positive ,calm and composed.

WAKING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING HELPS YOU GET MORE TIME DURING THE DAY FOR PERFORMING ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES.

I would like to end today's blog by saying that the more harder one works the much better frit he reaps in the future it may seem to be tough for many of you to manage two completely different areas of interest. But trust me if you start managing your work  and start working hard it will prove to be a blessing in disguise for you. And you will also succeed in your future because:
"THERE ARE NO SECRETS TO SUCCESS.
IT IS THE RESULT OF HARDWORK GRIT AND
                                                           DETERMINATION."

THANK YOU❤️❤️
