HAPPY READING!

Hope all of you are doing great in life! Today's topic is a bit different from the other topics because in today's blog I will be giving you a solution to a problem which many of you as students might have faced. I personally find remembering things which I studied a bit difficult. I tried out many different things to remember things which I studied but many didn't work. But finally I found out a solution to this problem of mine and here I am sharing the solution with you all today. Let's begin!

  • WRITE DOWN NOTES:
This is the best advice that I personally can give you for remembering things which you studied. Instead of reading through the chapter once or twice after your first reading it is always better that you write down notes or the important points from the chapter in an organized notebook. Writing down notes will help you to remember what all you have studied because one you write with concentration your brain remembers most of the tings which you have written. And moreover instead of going through a 20-25 page chapter before an exam you can always go through your notes which you have written which should practically be smaller in terms of page length and  it should be compact. This will help you save time and would also help you to remember your study matter before an exam.

WRITING DOWN NOTES BY HAND HELPS YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATTER IN A BETTER WAY AND ALSO HELPS YOU TO REMEMBER YOUR MATTER.

  • USE HIGHLIGHTERS:
Now many of you might be thinking that what good can using highlighters and sticky notes do? But this is a practice which will surely help you remember and understand your matter better. This is because if you highlight important/ keywords of a definition or a particular topic you remember the keywords because the different colors with which you highlight words remain pasted in your mind. I am sure that you are not believing in me now also but trust me try this out for a week or two and I am sure that you'll see the difference in your studies and learning capacity.

STUDYING WITH HIGHLIGHTERS HELPS YOU  TO MAKE CONNECTIONS VISULLY, NOT JUST MENTALLY. AND THE MORE VISUAL THINGS BECOME THE MORE BETTER ARE YOUR CHANCES TO REMEMBER YOUR STUDY MATTER.

  • SOLVING QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THE TOPIC/CHAPTER:
When you complete reading the chapter thoroughly and finish writing down the notes of the chapter it is advisable that you solve the questions given at the end of the chapter within a day or two of reading and writing the notes pertaining to that chapter. Solving the questions helps you to test yourself and will also make you realize the areas where you have to work on or will also help you get a knowledge about the types of possible questions which you might get in your examination. It also helps you build  a certain level of confidence if you attempt all questions without having a look at the study matter.

SOLVING THE QUESTIONS RELATED TO A TOPIC HELPS YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC IN A BETTER MANNER AND AT THE SAME TIME IT HELPS YOU TO BE READY AND PREPARED FOR SURPRISE TESTS OR FUTURE ASSIGNMENTS.

So here we come to the end of today's blog. Please try these suggestions given by me and do let me know by commenting on this blog as to whether it worked out for you or not. I would like to end today's blog by saying:
"THERE IS ALWAYS SCOPE OF IMPROVEMENT ONLY WHEN YOU AGREE WITH YOUR MISTAKES."
