HAPPY READING!
So let's begin with a question: How many of you my dear readers have been judged by the society or by your very own relatives on the basis of your performance in your school or board exams?
At least once or even more than that for sure!
Well in my case I have been laughed at for failing in a particular subject and also have been scolded in front of all my classmates or even at times in front of my friends mother's in a particular tuition. All this might seem to be funny for some of you but trust me it's not at all funny when you are being targeted at in a group of 40 odd students. Your self-confidence goes down and more importantly if this goes on continuously you might as well find yourself in a state where you don't want to do well because you assume that even if you study hard for your exams you will fail and will be laughed at in front of 40 other students.
It's really shocking to know that even in the so called 'MODERN AGE OF HUMAN CIVILISATION' people still haven't given up on their old and obsolete thoughts of doing well in exams in order to prove your worth in front of your friends, relatives and the society. The pressure is so immense on the student that in order to secure good results they forget to live their school life which is the most beautiful and adventurous phase in one's life to the fullest. And when he/she feels that the pressure on their shoulders is unbearable they free themselves from this stupid pressure forever.
THESTUDENT SUICIDE RATE IN 2020-21 WAS 8.2%o
It is very important for students to realize that no one will be remembering their marks or grades after 10 years all they have to remember is that they should not lose belief in themselves to do something great. Particularly in India a lot of emphasis is laid upon the marks or exam results of a particular student because of the roaring competition to get into the top educational institutions of India for their higher education. To cut a long story short sadly many students actually believe that a piece of paper can decide their future which is actually not the case.
Let me tell you that failing is completely natural and there is not even one person in this entire world who has never failed in his/her life, honestly speaking the number of teachings that we can gather from our failures are immense and vast only if we accept our failure as a motivation to work hard and to excel the next time we take an exam or participate in something. I would quote what Elon Musk, The founder Of Tesla Motors once said in an interview when he was asked whether he fears failing in his art or not. With a bright smile on his face he said 'I am ready to accept failures over a 1000 times but I always make sure that if I fail once my next aim should be not to give up but to work on what all went wrong this time and to make sure that the next time around I will not repeat the same mistake.' The CEO of Microsoft once revealed in an interview that during his school days he had failed in one of his examinations and on his way back home his friend who had received the highest marks in that examination came up to him and started laughing at him for scoring the least in that exam. Bill Gates said that he on the spot had decided to payback his friend for the humiliation that he faced not by hitting or abusing him but by staying quiet and not losing his self -belief to do something great. And 25 years later he got to know that the friend who laughed at him was now a software engineer in Microsoft!
Dear readers I request you to take the examples of these inspirational leaders as a motivation and would ask you to analyze what all you can take from these examples and plan on how to implement these in your own lives.
ELON MUSK: THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL
PERSON ALIVE ON THIS PLANET
To conclude my blog I want to say that marks are just numbers which honestly do not matter at all in one's life. What matters is one's values and his/her life skills, whether he/she is honest, kind-hearted, generous etc. It does not even matter whether a student is a topper or not. The student's worth is decided by his/her hard work, dedication and talent. Someone may be good at athletics or cricket and may not be able to score well in his/her exams this does not mean that they are not sharp-minded or are mere 'failures'. We should take inspiration from Indian All-rounder Hardik Pandya who dropped out of school in class 9 and was given the tag of 'helpless and hopeless' by each of his teachers. But look at where he is now! All owing to the confidence of his father and his own grit and self belief to compete at the highest level of the game.
I would also urge all parents that if they want their children to become a Virat Kohli, a Ratan Tata, a Neeraj Chopra , a Mithali Raj or a Hima Das the change starts with them first and later with their children. They should support their children in each and every possible manner and at the same time they should also make them understand the need of balancing their studies along with their co-curricular activities rather than forcing them to study.
That's it from my side in my first blog do send in your valuable feedbacks on the e-mail id mentioned at the beginning.
Thank you❤❤
