HAPPY READING!
So it's been two years now that students all over the world are attending their school classes on laptops and mobiles instead of attending their classes in a classroom with tables and chairs an a teacher teaching them on a "black board". But nonetheless we can at least pat ourselves for coping up in our studies even during these tough times. But yes we do miss school we do miss our beloved canteen, we do miss being punished and standing out of the class, we do miss giggling in front of the teacher when they are giving us notes, we do miss our lunch breaks and most importantly we miss the after-school water fights don't we?
When schools began to close down in March 2020 we all thought that covid-19 is just a normal infection and is not that serious. We all thought that it is just a matter of 21 days to stay confined to our homes and then we again will be back in school doing the same nonsense that we did regularly. But how many of us honestly thought that these 21 days will stretch to 2 years! Although schools reopened in some states in 2021 and even the first term boards of classes 10&12 took place, students all over our country are uncertain about when the schools will reopen next, after the third wave slows down or after every one of the students across India receive 2 jabs of the vaccine. Leaving all this aside I list down 3 reasons why offline education is necessary once the vaccinations are done and once the severity of this pandemic starts weakening. Because continuing with online classes after you are vaccinated and after the numbers are dropping practically does not make any sense. So without further ado let's begin with today's blog!
- MENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS:
Studying online for two years has made the students lazy, restless and bored. Honestly many students of my age have now become bored of the current online classes sitting in front of a laptop for 1 hour or so and listening to whatever the teacher says or taking down notes is difficult at the beginning it was interesting but now has become boring. Moreover with assessments and tests now being taken online students have gone into the habits of cheating which is obviously not good for their future as they are not at all developing mentally because they are not ready to learn anything new because they know that it's not worth learning anything as they can easily cheat and pass with flying colours with their tests being taken online. If we look at the big picture doing online classes is not going to do good to anyone in the future as the students are not interacting with each other nor are they learning anything new most and honestly they are becoming much lazy. Although the students who study sincerely are getting much time for self-study it's not going to help their confidence if they don't give offline exams and moreover there is a lot of injustice towards students giving online exams without cheating as their self-confidence goes down when they get to know that a student who is academically weaker to them is scoring more marks by using unfair means.

CERTAIN STUDIES SHOW THAT WITH ONLINE CLASSES CONTINUING 20% OF STUDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE GONE INTO DEPRESSION BECAUSE OF A LACK OF SOCIALIZING AND ALSO BECAUSE OF BOREDOM OF ATTENDING ONLINE CLASSES.
- LACK OF INTERNET ACCESSIBILITY:
When it comes to online classes it is easy for teachers to educate their students by sending the study materials and notes which they can follow as the classes go on. Teachers can also use animations and video lessons to help their students understand certain topics. But all these come at the cost of good internet connection which is not adequately spread in a country like India with such a vast population students living in Tier II towns and rural areas find it difficult to attend online classes due to lack of internet connectivity. But the scenario is completely different in offline classes where a student can interact freely with his/her teacher and ask them tons of doubts moreover they don't have to attend these classes without the fear of getting disconnected😂😂
THE INTERNET PENETRATION RATE STOOD AT 50% IN INDIA IN 2020-21 WHICH MEANS THAT ONLY 1/2 OF THE 1.3 BILLION INDIANS HAD ACESS TO INTERNET. - LACK OF FEELING OF COMPETITION:
With exams and assessments being conducted online students do not feel the pressure of studying or of working hard to do well in their exams because they know that to excel in online exams they need a good internet connection and their best friend 'GOOGLE'. It might sound funny but trust me it's not it's high time that the students realise that even if they are giving online exams now one day or the other they do have to sit for a physical pen and paper exam in which there will be no google, no WhatsApp group chatting and no books on the table all they will have during that time is their own knowledge with respect to the questions being asked to them in the examination. Students have to understand that in India the competition for getting into a good college and higher education institute is very tough. Students must realize that if they stop working hard to pass their exams they will never be able to survive the competition in this world.
THE CONDITION IN INDIA IS SUCH THAT THE JOBS AVAILABLE ARE LESSER THAN THE NUMBER OF JOB-SEEKERS. Now the question arises that what as students can we do till the classes are online?
The answer is pretty straightforward, all you got to do is pick yourself up from now on and start working hard and putting in your sincere efforts while studying. And one piece of advice which I surely want to give you is that please please do not cheat in your exams even if they are online because by doing this you yourself are harming your own future. You won't be doing any good to your future by getting high marks by cheating in your exams and I completely agree to the statement that
'' A PIECE OF PAPER CANNOT DECIDE MY FUTURE''
But I also agree that
'' BY LYING TO YOUR OWN SELF YOU WON'T BE DOING ANYTHING GOOD TO YOUR FUTURE."
On that note I end today's blog. Hope that you enjoyed reading this and got to learn something that you can apply in your life.
THANK YOU❤️❤️
