HAPPY READING!

We as students will surely not disagree with the fact that the past two years have been nothing short of a nightmare for many of us. We must understand that the pandemic has taken a toll on our mental health as a student and this should surely not be neglected just like that. It is very important that students realise that they should stay fit both mentally and physically in order to stay focused and also to excel both academically and non-academically. A good mental state of a person helps them to think with a positive outlook and at the same time it also helps a person to neglect what is going in the outside world and focus on themselves first.
So without any further ado let's dive straight into today's blog topic!

  • MEDITATION:
Performing meditational exercises and doing yoga regularly over a period of time will surely help you to overcome your mental stress or disturbances. Practising meditation and yoga together will surely make a brilliant duo. Moreover if you continue to do so regularly you will find that you will not be ill-tempered anymore and because of that your productivity in everyday life activities will increase. At the same time yoga and meditation will help you get fitter and would also help you to become much more focused and disciplined in life.

PERFORMING MEDITATIONAL EXERCISES REGULARLY WILL SURELY HELP YOU TO BECOME A MUCH MORE FOCUSED AND DISCIPLINED PERSON.

  • KEEP YOURSELF BUSY:
Many people are mentally disturbed as they overthink a lot like a lot!! which is not at all good neither for the heart and nor for the brain. So what should such a person do in order to stop overthinking? The answer is to keep yourself as busy as possible, by keeping yourself busy I am not appealing to you to lie down with your phone and scroll through Instagram reels for countless hours. By keeping yourself busy I mean to say that try to involve yourself into some productive activity which you find interesting to perform for example you may take up blogging, running, cooking , dancing etc. As any of the activities which will help you to remain busy and at the same time it would prevent you from thinking about anything else. And at the same time keeping yourself busy will make you much more hardworking and will also prevent you from getting distracted and will help you to focus much better on yourself.

STAYING BUSY IS THE BEST WAY IN WHICH YOU CAN COMBAT NEGATIVE EMOTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME IT WILL HELP YOU IN STAYING POSITIVE.

  • STAY CLOSE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY:
It is very important for a student to realise that in their tough times the only people on whom they can rely is their friends and family. I recommend you that whenever you feel mentally unstable or disturbed call up your friend or get back to home to do some household chores or do such an activity which will help you to release stress. In order to keep yourself socially connected and also to keep a good peace of mind it will be best if you organize monthly get - togethers with your friends or your family members or relatives , with whomever you are comfortable.

SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL SURELY HELP YOU TO BOOST YOUR SENSE OF BELONGING AND SELF-PURPOSE.

  • BE ACTIVE:
In order to be mentally fit it is very important for a student to realise that their mental instability may also occur due to their inactiveness in physical and outdoor activities. Many a times people get into depression due to their physical inactivity. Physical inactivity will make a person obese and  will make them lazy. When we perform physical activities every day it will help the body to release a hormone named 'ENDORPHIN'. These endorphins interact with the receptors of your brain that helps you to reduce perceptions of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body similar to the Morphin . If a student is fit it will also help them feel good and at the same time would help them to focus and concentrate more on studies.

MANY RESEARCHES HAVE SHOWN THAT PEOPLE WHO EXERCISE REGULARLY HAVE BETTER MENTAL HEALTH, EMOTIONAL WELL BEING AND LOW MENTAL ILLNESSES.

With that I come to an end to today's blog, hope this blog helped you to understand as to why it is important to keep yourself mentally fit and ways in which you can keep yourself mentally fit. I hope that you will implement the above mentioned tips in your life in order to keep yourself mentally fit.

I would like to end by saying:
"MENTAL HEALTH IS NOT A DESTINATION BUT IT
IS A PROCESS. IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW YOU DRIVE
NOT ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE GOING."

THANK YOU❤️❤️
